Overview
This is not just a class. It is a private cooking experience inside a traditional Japanese house in Takayama. Together, we prepare local dishes using seasonal ingredients. You will learn family recipes, cook step by step, and enjoy the meal you helped create.

Cook together with your local host in an authentic kitchen

Make a seasonal menu (different in each season)
Share the meal around the family table or hearth
Sample Seasonal Menu
Every menu is designed with the season. This is one example of what you may cook and enjoy:
Handmade soba or udon noodles – learn to knead and cut by hand
Seasonal vegetable dishes – mountain vegetables in spring, fresh greens in summer, root vegetables in winter
Grilled river fish (Ayu) or Hida beef tasting – local specialty depending on season and availability
Homemade miso soup with local tofu
Freshly pounded mochi or a light Japanese dessert
